Our day-time Ballito restaurant uses only the best farm-to-table ingredients, sourced from local suppliers.
Owner Jason Powell is a Prue Leith trained chef, and has worked all over the world, from Norway to Mozambique, cooking for the likes of Nelson Mandela and Graça Machel.
He’s used to creating beautiful food by baking, pickling and preserving everything himself, and the flavours at Food Fundi reflect his travels and experiences.

Serving all-day breakfast, brunch and lunch, Food Fundi Café first opened its doors in the Lowveld in 2011. Deli sandwiches on homemade breads with fresh chutneys, perfectly poached eggs Benedict, decadent double chocolate brownies, delicious coffees and smoothies kept customers coming back for more.
Now, Food Fundi has a new home in sunny Ballito, on the KwaZulu-Natal North Coast, but some things will never change; like forging great relationships with suppliers who care just as much as we do.
